Under the wave of globalization of new energy industry, Chinese enterprises are shifting from single production capacity output to deep synergy 

of technology, standard and industry. Recently, Puyue Ocean Team, together with Chinese and European partners, went to Hungarian Investment 

Promotion Agency (HIPA) for the third time to start a strategic dialogue on the reconstruction of the battery industry chain, marking that the 

cooperation between China and Hungary has stepped into a new stage of synergistic progress.

Hungary's battery industry turns: from the leading landing to the whole industry chain synergies

During the two-hour closed-door meeting, Martina, an official of Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency, clearly said, “The current strategy of 

Hungarian battery industry has shifted from attracting head enterprises to the layout of the whole industry chain, focusing on the introduction of materials, 

parts and components, recycling and other ancillary enterprises, in order to build a localized industry chain.” This shift not only provides a new window 

for Chinese enterprises to embed themselves in the European supply chain, but also promotes the upgrading of Sino-Hungarian cooperation from 

“capacity transfer” to technical standard synergy.

As a gas pedal of enterprise globalization, Puyue will rely on its resource network in Europe to help Chinese new energy enterprises accurately connect 

to the market demand in Hungary and Central and Eastern Europe. For example, for the battery industry cluster planned in Hungary, Puyue is assisting 

domestic enterprises to establish joint R&D centers with local leading battery factories, so as to promote the localization and adaptation of technology.

New Opportunities for Chinese Enterprises: From “Going to Abroad” to “Entering the Chain”

The reconstruction of the Hungarian battery industry chain provides a higher-dimensional cooperation scenario for Chinese enterprises to participate in 

the international division of labor. Through synergistic cooperation, Chinese enterprises can deeply integrate into the European innovation system, export 

technology patents and management standards, and at the same time avoid single market risks. Huang Zhe, chairman of Puyue Overseas, pointed out 

that “the future competition is no longer a single-point competition between enterprises, but a synergistic efficiency competition between industrial chains.”
